As a sculptor, I am interested in material and form, and I am interested in problems in our culture, our families, the political world, and the environment. I use found and recycled objects and natural materials to express themes. Forms made of wood, stones, fabric, string, metal and clay represent nature, family, community and cycles. Balancing forms refer to political, social, and psychological balances. Reflected and imitated forms hint at the unreliability of what we think is real. The interplay between form and content presents a puzzle. The solution is often necessarily elusive; the answer is just another question.
